FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
DETROIT, Michigan — Gage Intelligence today released Paper 001 in the LAW Research series, Temporal Entanglement in Legal Citation Chains: A Multidimensional Authority Graph Analysis, the foundational paper of the Quantum Intelligence (QI) Research Division and the first complete multidimensional mapping of Western legal citation chains from Justinian's Digest (534 AD) to the present.
The paper constructs and analyzes a 64,466-node legal authority graph — the largest of its kind — mapping every citation relationship across 1,493 years of precedent. Using quantum-inspired MAX-CUT community detection algorithms, the system achieves 98.6% accuracy on doctrine cluster identification, revealing five primary clusters: sovereignty, fiduciary, commerce, procedure, and equity.
Critically, the analysis identifies structural asymmetries in the citation graph — patterns where expected citation links are absent — exposing suppressed precedent and missing citations that traditional legal research methods cannot detect. The paper derives a predictive argument strength scoring model from citation gravity, enabling quantitative assessment of legal argumentation before filing.
Key findings include:
- 64,466-node legal authority graph mapped and analyzed — the largest multidimensional mapping of Western legal precedent
- Citation chains traced 1,493 years — from Justinian's Digest (534 AD) to present
- MAX-CUT community detection achieves 98.6% accuracy on doctrine cluster identification across five primary clusters
- Pattern asymmetry detection reveals suppressed precedent and missing citations invisible to traditional research
- Predictive argument strength scoring derived from citation gravity — quantitative pre-filing assessment
