Citation existence
Every case citation is resolved against the reporter. A citation is treated as verified only when the real case is found at that citation; anything unconfirmed is held back before you rely on it.
Claim grounding
Each legal statement is bound to the specific primary-source passage that supports it. Unsupported claims are narrowed or held back, never asserted. If no source was retrieved, the answer says so.

What the standard means
- —On a public, labeled benchmark of 35 landmark authorities and 17 fabrications, every fabrication was caught, 0 reached output, and 34 of 35 real authorities auto-confirmed. The remaining real authority was held back rather than asserted. Benchmark run September 13, 2026.
- —No certification is claimed. Your matter file, evidence and drafts are kept on your machine; a question to the assistant carries the context it needs, and on the sovereign tier it is answered only on hardware we own; every release is signed with Ed25519 and verified on install; and every figure on the proof page is regenerated from the record that produces it.
- —The gates verify that a citation exists and that a statement traces to a primary source — the foundation a sound legal argument is built on. The merits remain for counsel and the court.
- —When a verifier is unavailable, the answer narrows the claim or holds the point back rather than asserting it. The platform never shows a green light a check did not earn.
